From the looks of it, I have gotten a decent amount of views the past few days, so I figured I will give you readers another chance to prove to me you are dedicated to my blog. I will continue with it, but if I do not see any form of dedication, then I am closing it down for good.

ReplyDeleteI wanna be frank with you--you making a blog is not for anyone but yourself. You are not doing us a favor by writing. You will get more views and more interest from the crowd when you realize that you have to first find yourself, find out truly what you wanna write about and then just write it man!
Nobody is gonna be dedicated to your blog if you're not. And let me tell you, in about 2 weeks (which is how much youve done), you will not get the response you want.
Also, youre blog is not a blog. You are mostly regurgitating news that all of us could look up in a second in Google or any other search engine for that matter. Pick one thing you wanna talk about, pick one thing you feel strongly about and put your spin/your perspective on it! That's what we wanna hear--a blog is about sharing an adventure, a journey with someone else...that's what I want, that's what most of here, the readers, fellow bloggers, and simple passerbyers want!
So don't ask for our advice on topics and such...and don't feel forced to write every single day--a blog is kinda like life, you cannot expect something exciting and new to happen each day, but when it does, write about it!

you know, you are absolutely correct. I did not think about it like that. All this time i was looking to please my readers, and never myself. Maybe that is why I was so hung up on getting comments and suggestions all the time, rather than focusing on the point of it.

ReplyDeleteIn the grand scheme of things my blog hardly gets any views really, but I write it because firstly I really enjoy doing it, and secondly because the people who do read it seem to be really glad that I'm talking about something that is of interest to them. Don't become a slave to your stats, do it because you're passionate about the subject you're writing about.
